SEFAC begins its lift activity in the late 1960’s and has been manufacturing and selling lifts into the United States since the 1970’s.
The SEFAC® brand was created for use on its newly developed mobile column lifts, for sale into the U.S.
SEFAC within the framework of its global commercial strategy, builds a distribution network to increase presence in the US.
SEFAC opens a US subsidiary in Baltimore, MD. SEFAC mobile column lifts are among the first to obtain third-party certification, which demonstrates the commitment of SEFAC to the US Markets, and the quality of products designed and manufactured by SEFAC France.
The SEFAC Group is sold to a European company, TRIAPT Holdings.
Triapt Holdings sold its US subsidiary to SLEC which had been the U.S. distributor of SEFAC lifts, and the remainder of Triapt’s world-wide holdings of the SEFAC Group, including its manufacturing facility in France, SEFAC S.A., to the present shareholders.
SEFAC introduces the S3 column lift, one of its future best-sellers.
Introduction of the S2 column lift, a new lift designed specifically to meet the needs of SEFAC’s U.S.-Customers.
SLEC is terminated as the U.S. distributor of SEFAC products and SEFAC S.A. creates its own North American subsidiary named SEFAC USA, Inc.. Since 2014, SEFAC USA is the sole U.S. distributor of genuine, new SEFAC Lifts.
Introduction by SEFAC USA of the SWiP wireless technology to the U.S. market. The development of the SW2 wireless lift, based upon the SWIP wireless technology, is a continuation of over 45 years of continuous Research and Development efforts by SEFAC to provide the safest and most efficient column lifts to its customers.
